WWE Return Rumor for SmackDown Talent Debunked

Those expecting a released “Friday Night SmackDown” star to return to WWE TV may not want to hold their breath. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that despite speculation online, WWE has no plans to bring Andrade back to the company. Rumors surfaced online claiming that because WWE is invoking its one-year non-compete clause in Andrade’s contract, the star would inevitably be used on either “SmackDown” or “Raw,” but that appears unlikely. Several reports surfaced on the circumstances regarding Andrade’s WWE release. It was said that Andrade violated the company’s wellness policy, and officials couldn’t reach him for an extended period of time. Andrade has poked fun at the reports on social media. More News: Former WWE Star With Roman Reigns Ties Reveals Big Return Plans Andrade’s AEW Return Blocked Andrade made his stunning AEW return during the Oct. 1 episode of “Dynamite.” He ambushed Kenny Omega and seemingly joined The Don Callis Family. AEW quickly stopped mentioning Andrade on TV, and he ended up being pulled from several independent shows. At the time of his AEW return, many within the professional wrestling industry were under the impression that Andrade didn’t have a non-compete clause. As it turns out, that wasn’t the case. With WWE reportedly not planning on using Andrade again, time will tell if the two sides can come to an agreement to break the clause. Otherwise, many legal experts, such as ex-WWE star David Otunga, have said that the clause likely wouldn’t hold up in court if Andrade wishes to pursue legal action. Andrade appears to be in good spirits despite the holdup. He has been posting motivational messages on social media and has expressed gratitude.
