The new schedule in Baza aims to improve community use and prevent disputes in public sports spaces. Age-based rules for neighbourhood courts Baza Town Hall has introduced a new system of age-based time slots for outdoor sports areas across the municipality. The move, led by the Department of Sports, seeks to avoid disagreements among residents and encourage fairer access to shared community facilities. Clear new signs have been installed in each location, outlining when different age groups have priority to use the courts. The changes affect multi-sport zones in Huerta del Pino, Parque de los Prados, Parque de la Constitucion, Casillas de Jacinto, and the Baul neighbourhood. New winter and summer schedules Under the new plan, children up to 15 years old have priority between 4:30pm – 6:30pm in winter and 5:30pm – 7:30pm in summer. Teenagers aged 15 to 18 have preference form 6:30pm – 8:30pm in winter and 7:30 – 9:30pm in summer. Adults over 18 are given priority from 8:30pm – 10:30pm in winter and 9:30pm – 11:30pm in summer. The council said the new structure aims to “improve coexistence and ensure that all residents – especially younger users – can enjoy the town’s sports areas safely and respectfully.” Encouraging cooperation and fair play If a court is free, anyone may use it regardless of age, but they must yield if a person from the corresponding age group arrives during their allocated time. The council added that users of different ages can of course share the space by mutual agreement. Should a conflict arise, residents are advised to contact the Local Police on 958 700 005. Promoting respectful community sport for everyone in Baza Officials described the new schedule as part of the town’s wider effect to promote healthy lifestyles and improve public access to sports infrastructure. By setting clear time slots and encouraging cooperation, the Baza Town Hall hopes to make its neighbourhood sports areas safer, fairer, and more enjoyable for everyone.
