Woman Pulls Up To House-Can’t Believe Who’s in Window With Goldendoodle

In a viral TikTok video, a dog owner shares the heartwarming way her goldendoodle waits for her to come back home, and internet users can’t cope with it. The clip shared on Friday under the username @janie__theriault, shows the pup sitting right by the window next to his new stuffed toy, waiting patiently for his mom to get in. “Pulled up to my house and this is my dog with his new toy,” reads layover text in the video. “The silliest bear I've ever seen," the caption says. In an article medically reviewed by Dr. Ashley Darby, Dogster explains that dogs do indeed miss their owners when they’re out. As social animals, our pups form deep emotional bonds and often think about us while apart. They even greet us more enthusiastically after longer absences, suggesting they perceive time and miss companionship. Signs your dog missed you include getting the zoomies when you return, showing extra affection, crying, or snuggling up to your belongings because your scent comforts them. Some dogs may also destroy items, try to escape, or seem sad and lethargic when left alone. Others might wait by the door, or by the window like the pup in the clip, hoping for your return. To help your dog cope, ensure they get plenty of physical activity before you leave and keep them mentally engaged with puzzle toys or treat dispensers. Leave behind an item with your scent, like clothing or a blanket, for comfort. Make their environment cozy and stimulating, and consider background noise such as TV or “DogTV” to ease anxiety. If you’re gone long hours, a pet sitter or dog walker can provide companionship and exercise. The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 951,900 views and 235,800 likes on the platform. One user, Erin, commented: “I’d legit cry on the spot if I saw him and his little bookie watching me through the window.” Colorado.LindsayK said: “Watching out the window is definitely a must. Him with his stuffie is too adorable.” Rocket wrote: “He’s telling him the neighborhood gossip.” Newsweek reached out to u/@janie__theriault for comment via TikTok.
