Woke Dem Jasmine Crockett's secret stock empire exposed - as she plots Senate run

One of President Donald Trump's most vocal progressive critics appears to have a dirty secret of her own. Texas Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett appears to have omitted the ownership of stocks of 25 different companies while in Congress, after sharing the information during her time as a state legislator. Crockett also failed to disclose ownership of the stocks during her 2022 congressional campaign, as well as after entering Congress in 2023. Records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon in a new investigative report show Crockett held shares in major corporations including Amazon, ExxonMobil, Johnson & Johnson, and Aurora Cannabis while publicly promoting herself as a progressive environmental advocate. Her undisclosed holdings and debts, totaling over $110,000, raise potential conflict-of-interest concerns, as some companies stood to benefit from legislation she supported in both Texas and Congress. Crockett, a civil rights attorney and outspoken supporter of marijuana decriminalization, also had business interests in cannabis through her firm, Black Diamond Investments, which sought dispensary licenses in Ohio. She simultaneously represented a defendant in a fatal marijuana-related case while sponsoring pro-cannabis legislation. Ethics experts say discrepancies between her Texas and federal disclosures could merit investigation and penalties if proven improper. Crockett’s omissions also included debts to financial institutions and a private individual linked to a home she appears to have rented in Dallas. Although it is unclear whether she still owns the stocks or owes the debts, her nondisclosures undermine transparency required by congressional financial reporting rules. The Daily Mail has reached out to Crockett's campaign for comment. This new information comes to light as Crockett is officially considering a run for the US Senate in the 2026 midterm elections. The Texas progressive has attempted to brand herself a key foil to President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, and has compared Trump to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. Crockett has made headlines numerous times in recent months as a key critic of the Trump administration, and the issue of congressional redistricting in her home state ahead of the 2026 midterms is a key one that she has spoken out on. The Texas Congresswoman called Trump 'Temu Hitler' in an interview with SiriusXM host Zerlina Maxwell that took place this summer, due to the president's involvement in the redistricting process. 'So what we have seen is, again, this rogue Department of Justice going out to do the bidding of this Temu Hitler,' Crockett told Maxwell in July. Crockett faces being booted from Congress after Republicans in the Texas legislature passed a new map of congressional districts at the end of August. She has slammed the Texas redistricting maps as a sham that silences minority voices and keeps power in the hands of the few, diluting the voting power of Latino and Black communities. The redistricting push in Texas was spurred by a letter from the U.S. Department of Justice sent to state officials in July, which argued that four of the state's congressional districts were racially gerrymandered. Democrats won all four of these seats in the 2024 elections. The Texas congressional maps were already redrawn after the 2020 Census, and they are typically edited every ten years. Trump then urged Texas Republicans to rethink their Congressional maps to give Republicans a leg up in next year's midterm elections. The new maps may flip as many as five seats held by Democrats.
