AnMed has begun construction on a new medical office complex at the site of the former Windsor Place shopping center, at 1520 E. Greenville St. in Anderson. Several of AnMed’s growing service lines will find homes in the new complex: - Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Ear, Nose & Throat Care (ENT) - AnMed Integrated Therapy - Occupational Medicine A state-of-the-art outpatient imaging center featuring 3 Tesla MRI technology — the latest in commercial imaging technology — will also be included. “This project is exciting and especially gratifying because it will accommodate the growth of our health system while delivering benefits to the community on multiple levels,” said William Kenley, CEO of AnMed. “We’re securing more space and developing clean, modern accommodations. Not only are we increasing capacity and access to care, but we’re also reinvigorating what had become a blighted area in a prominent corridor of Anderson.” Windsor Place Shopping Center was sold on May 5 Marcus & Millichap Commercial Property Auction Services sold the Windsor Place Shopping Center located at 1520 E. Two separate AnMed Integrated Therapy locations will be consolidated into the new Windsor Place facility to streamline efficiency and improve the patient experience. "The newly constructed AnMed Health facility will inject new life, energy, and service rather than demolish and build anew without sacrificing capabilities or amenities," Kenley said. "It's heartening, and perhaps it’s symbolic of the care our teammates provide every day. Soon we’ll enjoy more access, more service, better alignment of resources, and better care for our community.” AnMed's growth over the years: What to know AnMed was founded in 1908 as an independent, not-for-profit health system serving Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia, according to a news release.
