Landau, Germany — During K 2025, Wickert Maschinenbau GmbH introduced a fully automated spray-agent application system designed to improve quality and efficiency in hydraulic press operations. The new solution replaces manual spraying of release and flow agents with a programmable system that automatically coats both upper and lower die surfaces with precise and repeatable dosing. The system uses movable distribution beams and individually adjustable nozzles to control spray volume, pressure and travel speed. Wickert says this allows consistent coating and better part surface quality, especially for components with demanding cosmetic requirements. The company also emphasized safety improvements, as operators no longer need to enter the press area to apply sprays manually. The spray system can be integrated into new Wickert presses or retrofitted to existing equipment, making it accessible to manufacturers looking to upgrade productivity without investing in entirely new machinery. Wickert aims the technology at industries such as automotive, composites and elastomers, where reliable molding processes and clean production environments are critical.
