Dallas Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was reportedly arrested and charged with possession of an illegal substance.According to DLLS Sports' Ron Harrod Jr. on Tuesday, Williams was arrested on Saturday morning at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Terminal C. He was allegedly in possession of <2 oz. of marijuana."BREAKING: Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in the C terminal of DFW Airport on Saturday, according to an incident report obtained by @DLLS_Sports. The Mavericks, when reached Tuesday, declined comment."The Mavericks are yet to comment on the situation, per Harrod. Williams played in Dallas' first two games this season. He was part of the injury list in the past two games due to "personal reasons."The first game he missed, a 139-129 win over the Toronto Raptors, was a day after his reported arrest. The 6-foot-1 guard was also out in Monday's 101-94 loss to the OKC Thunder.Williams is yet to score in 19 total minutes played this season. In 2024-25, he played 33 games and averaged 8.3 points and 2.3 assists on 52.1% shooting.
