Yup, Minnesota Lynx and Cheryl Reeve have lost their signature composure. Last game, they let a 20-point lead slip rather easily, but Napheesa Collier only blamed themselves for the loss. “Phoenix did a good job of coming out aggressive [after halftime],” Collier had said, “but I think we beat ourselves.” Now in Game 3, Cheryl Reeve officially lost it after Alyssa Thomas injured her MVP candidate, Napheesa Collier. The Lynx trailed by 4 with half a minute left on the clock. Napheessa Collier was looking for an opening at the three-point line, but Alyssa Thomas had other ideas. She picked Collier’s pocket and ran through an open half-court for an easy lay-up. However, while making that steal, she injured Napheesa Collier. The Lynx star lost her balance and went to the ground, grimacing in pain, and that’s when Reeve just had it with the referees. Fuming, she ran into the court towards the referees and had some words with Natisha Hiedeman, jumping in to hold her back. Even the rest of her staff was behind her. She was already on a technical foul, and this was her second. Thus, Reeve was immediately ejected for this outburst as Collier walked off to the locker room.
