Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli are over for good after their briefly rekindled relationship. “It was very short-lived, and they were seeing each other for about a month before they figured out it wasn’t working again,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “Olivia has been in NYC and Jacob has been filming, and has his home base in L.A., so distance was a factor.” The insider adds that the relationship “ran its course,” and Elordi, 28, and Giannulli, 26, “realized they are better off not together.” “Jacob is already seeing someone else and has been on dates,” the source concludes. Reps for Elordi and Giannulli did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment. A source confirmed to Us on Wednesday, October 29, that the Euphoria actor and the YouTuber had called it quits just weeks after they reunited in September. (Giannulli was spotted attending the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Elordi’s movie Frankenstein on September 8.) An insider exclusively told Us of their reconciliation on September 13, “Olivia and Jacob are seeing each other again and giving it another shot. They have been on and off for many months and recently reconnected in NYC. They aren’t putting a label on it but are trying to see if the relationship will work again.” Elordi and Giannulli first began dating in December 2021 and continued their romance on and off until this month. Their most recent split came in August, with an insider telling Us that the pair had a “rocky” summer. “Olivia moved to Paris to get away and have a fresh start for a bit. She needed a change of scenery,” the source added. Olivia, who is one of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli’s daughters, opened up about her move to Paris in a vlog in July. “I moved to Paris … for a bit,” she said. “I’m here for a little while living, so I’m really excited to get some videos out for you guys. And it’s just going to be, I feel like such an exciting, formative time.” The influencer continued, “I love how light it stays for so long in the days. It feels amazing. … There’s just a lot going on, and it’s all really good and really exciting.” The insider noted that Elordi and Olivia “both initiated the conversation and agreed it wasn’t working” between them. “They aren’t really in touch at the moment and are letting things cool off. Both of them are very busy doing their own things,” the source noted at the time, adding that Elordi was “focused on his work” and “traveling” often, “so the distance had put a strain on their relationship.” Olivia and Elordi have remained tight-lipped about their romance through the years. In 2021, the Saltburn actor opened up to Men’s Health about keeping his personal life private. “I just want to be a part of the world,” he said. “I want to have a life. I want to have the same 80-, 85-year — more or less — experience that everyone has. I don’t want to miss anything by sitting on some overly sour pile of candy.”
