Geneva, November 06 (QNA) - Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stressed the need to maintain the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip."Next week, WHO, UNICEF and UNRWA will begin providing routine vaccinations, nutrition screening and treatment, and growth monitoring for 44,000 children across Gaza, who have been cut off from life-saving care for nearly two years of conflict," the WHO Director-General said on X. "To support this effort, WHO is rehabilitating 20 damaged or destroyed health facilities, expanding the number of service delivery points and restoring vital health infrastucture," he added.Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, "Upholding the ceasefire is essential - not only for the success of this effort, but for bringing Gaza's health system back to life.
