Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has no injury designation and is expected to return in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens.Worthy sustained a separated shoulder on the third play from scrimmage in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Many feared that would cost him several games, but he missed only the following two. Xavier Worthy is an integral part of Chiefs' offensive scheme Kansas City's offense has struggled mightily without Worthy. Getting him back to pair with Tyquan Thornton will give the Chiefs two legitimate deep threats as other pass catchers such as Travis Kelce, Hollywood Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster work underneath. While speaking to the media on Thursday, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy emphasized what Worthy means to the offense."He's such a big part of this offense," Nagy said. "He's been so instrumental in training camp and OTAs coming back [in his] second year. He's so anxious to get back out there and show us what he can do and show us the growth. Then all of a sudden, that happens in Week 1 (getting injured). So now coming back, I thought last week was a positive. Now this week, he's doing really well. He's running around. He looks good out there, so we're just literally taking it day-by-day. I like where he's at." How will Xavier Worthy respond after taking hits? Many are wondering if Worthy can do further damage to his shoulder if he gets hit or lands on it. Coach Andy Reid reassured everyone that Worthy is healthy enough to play, which includes being able to absorb hits."We're not going to put him out there if he's not healthy enough to go play," Reid said to the media on Friday. "[Worthy's] in the right frame of mind to go do it." WRs coach Conner Embree echoed that sentiment on Thursday, also reminding us that the Chiefs have had other receivers return from the same injury as Worthy's."We've had a couple guys on the team with the same injury. JuJu (Smith-Schuster) is one of those guys. He's kind of talked to him (Worthy) about what to expect and what to watch out for. It's not like, hey, once you get the ball, slide or jump out of bounds. He's got to play football. If he's out there, he's got to protect himself, whether he's got an injury or not. We haven't really talked to him about like, hey, go slide or anything. He's out there, he's going to be playing."
