Elaine Hendrix missed the Tuesday, Oct. 28, episode of “Dancing With the Stars” after sustaining an injury during rehearsal. In footage from the rehearsal, Hendrix, 54, winced in pain and told her partner, Alan Bersten, that it felt like her “muscle [was] twisted under my ribs.” She was taken to the emergency room in an ambulance. The “Parent Trap” actress shared an Instagram video of herself in a hospital bed on Tuesday. “I injured my ribs during ‘Defying Gravity’ [last week on ‘Dancing With the Stars], and today they just seized up and I couldn’t move,” Hendrix explained. “The doctor has said with a day or two of rest, I should be able to continue. And that’s exactly what I want to do.” Hendrix then got choked up as she said, “I want to dance. I want to keep doing this.” Because of Hendrix’s injury, the “Dancing With the Stars” judges scored her Argentine Tango based on a video from rehearsal. She and Bersten received 8s from all three regular judges and from guest judge Cheryl Burke. Although Hendrix’s absence prevented her and Bersten from earning extra points in Halloween Night’s Dance Monster-thon, they were not eliminated during Tuesday’s episode. “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck and her partner, Jan Ravnik, were sent home instead. Affleck’s elimination comes after former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Maks Chmerkovskiy slammed Ravnik on his wife Peta Murgatroyd’s podcast last week. “I’m sorry, Jan has absolutely no business being a pro on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ There’s zero foundation technique, quality, understanding of the partnership,” Chmerkovskiy argued. Ravnik called Affleck a “rockstar” after the elimination results were revealed, while Affleck said she felt “so grateful for the experience.” Hendrix was the only person who missed Halloween night on “Dancing With the Stars,” but she wasn’t the only contestant injured this week. Dylan Efron broke his nose after his partner, Daniella Karagach, accidentally elbowed him in the face during rehearsal. “Broke my nose, but dont need it to dance,” Efron quipped via Instagram. “I’m seriously all good - but I’ll never forget the way Dani, Pasha [Pashkov] and Danielle [Fishel] WOULDN’T leave [my] side when it happened, warms my heart to have friends like them.” Karagach is married to Pashkov, a fellow “Dancing With the Stars” pro who is partnered with Fishel this season.
