WBCHSE Class 12th Semester 3 Exam Result 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will announce the results of the state’s first-ever semester-based Class 12 Uchha Madhyamik examinations today, October 31. The results will be declared at 12:30 pm during a press conference at the WBCHSE office in Salt Lake, Kolkata. Students will be able to check their marks online after 2 pm through the official websites — wbchse.wb.gov.in and result.wb.gov.in. This year, around 6.6 lakh students appeared for the new-format examinations. According to the official data, 56.03 percent of the total candidates were girls. The exams were held from September 8 to 22 at 2,106 centres across the state. In the West Bengal Class 12 results 2024, the overall pass percentage stood at 89.98%. This marks a historic shift in the state’s higher secondary education pattern, as it is the first time students are being evaluated under the semester-based system introduced by WBCHSE. Under the new system, the Uchha Madhyamik question papers are designed to improve students’ analytical and writing skills. While semesters one and three focus on multiple-choice questions to promote reasoning, semesters two and four include short and descriptive answers to build writing ability.
