Water filtration company plans $5.1 million manufacturing facility in Walterboro

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) - A California-based water filtration company has announced plans for its first East Coast manufacturing operation in Colleton County, investing $5.1 million in a new facility. QMP Incorporated will establish operations in a 22,000-square-foot facility, creating 233 new jobs for the area. “In Colleton County, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent business climate, and we look forward to partnering with QMP for years to come,” Colleton County Council Chair Scott Biering said. QMP serves residential, commercial and industrial customers nationwide with more than 30 years of experience in water filtration. “While many manufacturers have chosen to move production overseas, QMP remains deeply committed to American manufacturing,” QMP Vice President Vanessa Vidal Forsyth said. “Expanding into South Carolina allows us to continue building on more than three decades of excellence and innovation – right here in the United States.” The company plans to begin operations at the Anderson Road site in January 2026. Anyone interested in joining the team next year should reach out to the company via email at info@qmpusa.com.
