Report: Chelsea considering offer for 17 goal former Barcelona star, Tottenham also interested

Chelsea are amongst the clubs closely following the progress of Palmerias youngster Vitor Roque according to reports. The Blues aren’t afraid to tap into the South American market, and have signed a number of talented players from the continent under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership. Estevao is arguably the best signing Chelsea have made from South America, whilst Andrey Santos is also part of the first team set-up. Chelsea following progress of Vitor Roque The transfer window hasn’t long been shut, but rumours are already circulating ahead of the January window and even next summer. Chelsea are active in transfer windows, and that doesn’t look like changing in the immediate future, although how much business they will do in January remains unclear. However, Goal Brasil have reported Chelsea are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on Roque, with Tottenham also monitoring the striker. The report adds both teams are considering an offer for Roque in the upcoming transfer window, but Palmerias have no interest in negotiating for the player. Chelsea have previously been linked with Roque, and he’s now back in Brazil after a move to Barcelona simply didn’t work out. Roque has rediscovered his form for Palmerias and has scored 17 goals in 46 games this season, and could force himself into contention for Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad. Emanuel Emegha to arrive next summer Whilst Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Roque, they do have another striker arriving next summer in the form of Emanuel Emegha. Emegha has penned a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge, and will join from Strasbourg at the end of the season. The 22-year-old scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season as Strasbourg qualified for the Conference League, and he’s set to compete with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the striker position.
