The Minnesota Vikings have a big-time bout this Sunday with the Baltimore Ravens in an interconference Week 10 matchup at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Both teams will be fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive, and both are coming off of big wins in Week 9 to help strengthen their case for the dance when the 2025 NFL Playoffs roll around in January. The Ravens sit at 3-5 while the Vikings sit at 4-4. The Ravens technically may be in a better position to make the playoffs, however. Baltimore is second in the AFC North standing, trailing only the Pittsburgh Steelers and having a half-game advantage on the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Vikings have a better record, they may be at a bit more of a disadvantage in the NFC than the Ravens are in the AFC. Minnesota sits in last place in the NFC North, though in all fairness, they are only a game and a half behind the first place Green Bay Packers, and kept the Lions from gaining the lead after their victory over them last Sunday at Ford Field. Vikings Get Bad News Via Ravens Injury Report In a sequent of events that Sports Illustrated called “unprecedented”, the Baltimore Ravens don’t have a single injury designation to report at the moment heading into the Week 10 clash with the Vikings. This is a stark contrast from the Vikings’ injury report, whom have a bevy of names that appeared on it. Notable names include left tackle Christian Darrisaw (did not practice Thursday after being a full participant on Wednesday). Running back Aaron Jones (rehabbing an AC joint injury sustained against the Lions last Sunday, was limited on Thursday). Right guard Will Fries (has a minor calf injury, limited on Wednesday, full participant on Thursday). The Vikings also have cornerback Jeff Okudah and tight end Josh Oliver still not participating in practices. Veteran safety Harrison Smith took his usual veteran rest day on Tuesday but was a full participant in practice on Thursday. Safety Josh Metellus was limited on Wednesday, but was a full participant on Thursday. Defensive lineman Jalen Redmond, fullback C.J. Ham, and safety Theo Jackson have all been mostly limited in practice this week. Minnesota Must Find Way To Topple A Healthy Ravens Team The Vikings are a bit banged up, but shouldn’t be down too much manpower on Sunday relative to when they had names like Blake Cashman and Andrew Van Ginkel missing multiple games in a row. The Ravens are a top team in the NFL when fully healthy, as 3-5 does not tell the whole story for how good Baltimore can be. Minnesota will be facing a different kind of threat this Sunday. However, their successes in stopping Saquon Barkley and the duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery in the running game this season should inspire faith in the fanbase that they could potentially shut down the deadly rushing duo of Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson.
