A programme aimed at spreading vigilance awareness, especially among the youth, and motivating them to contribute toward building a transparent and accountable society was held at Vellalar College for Women, here recently. Organised by United India Insurance Company Limited, divisional office, Erode, the event featured S. Rajalakshmi, regional manager, Coimbatore Regional Office, as the chief guest. She emphasised the importance of ethics in both professional and personal life and urged students to imbibe these values. She encouraged them to believe in their potential, face challenges with confidence, and pursue their goals with integrity and determination. True success, she noted, lies in maintaining honesty and compassion throughout one’s journey. She also stressed that vigilance plays a vital role in combating corruption and is not solely the responsibility of government bodies but a duty shared by every citizen to uphold ethical practices. B. Murali Krishnan, Vigilance Officer, Regional Office, Coimbatore administered pledge to students. K. Madheswaran, chief business manager, Erode, Pon Vala Raja, assistant manager, S. Dhivya, assistant manager, R. Parvathi, principal, M. Prema, NSS programme officer, and K. Madheswaran, senior divisional manager, were also present. Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions held as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week.
