UPSC Announces Recruitment Results For August 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finalised and released the recruitment results for the month of August, 2025. As per the official release, the recommended candidates have been informed individually by post. UPSC also informed that applications of other candidates were duly considered but regretted that it has not been possible to call them for interview/ recommend them for the post. The posts for which recruitments have been conducted are: Senior Grade of Indian Information Service, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Deputy Director of Employment, Directorate General of Employment, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Scientist 'B', Botanical Survey of India, Kolkata, Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Nautical Surveyor-cum-Deputy Director General (Technical), Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Medical Officer (Ayurveda), Central Establishment Department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Cabin Safety Inspector, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Nursing Officer, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Lecturer (Burmese Language), School of Foreign Language, New Delhi, Ministry of Defence, Dangerous Goods Inspector, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation. The full list of recommended candidates is available in the below attached PDF: Meanwhile, UPSC on October 28 (Tuesday) recommended 114 additional candidates from the Consolidated Reserve List to fill remaining vacancies for Civil Services Examination (Main), 2024. UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2024 was declared on April 22, 2025 recommending 1009 candidates in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and certain other Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 1129 vacancies. At that time, the Commission had stated that, as per Rules 20(4) and 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024, a Consolidated Reserve List was maintained in order of merit below the last recommended candidate in each category. The Commission has now released the names of 114 additional candidates (comprising 94 from the General category, 5 from EWS, 13 from OBC, 1 from SC, and 1 from ST) to fill the remaining vacancies based on the Civil Services Examination, 2024. These candidates will be directly informed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
