Vedhika S. Matpathi, a fifth-semester student of Electronics and Communication Engineering belongining to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Women) at Sharnbasva University, has been selected for the final round of the Kalyana Karnataka season 3 singing competition, organised by the Karnataka Sanghatana Vedike, under the classical music category. Chancellor of Sharnbasva University, Dakshayini Avvaji, congratulated Vedhika and felicitated her for her achievement in the presence of Basavaraj Deshmukh, secretary of the Sharnbasaveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha; Anilkumar Bidve, vice-chancellor; Lakshmi Patil Maka, dean; and other faculty members. According to the founder-president of the Karnataka Sanghatana Vedike, Vedhika is among 15 finalists shortlisted for the concluding round after clearing the rigorous preliminary stages that saw participation from over 475 contestants. The final competition will be held at S.M. Pandit Rangamandir in Kalaburagi on November 22.
