Elon Musk's wife, Grimes , has delivered a scathing eight-word verdict on the X proprietor and the "threat" someone she "cannot control" presents to children. The musician, Claire Elise Boucher, known as Grimes, believes "the biggest imminent threat is just outsourcing thinking", alluding to AI technology . Her partner and billionaire SpaceX chief has embedded various forms of AI into social media site X. In February Musk declared Grok 3, "the smartest AI on Earth", during a presentation on X. Claiming there were studies that have demonstrated AI "atrophies the brain," Grimes asked Doomscroll's Joshua Citarella , referring to AI, "I'm tired of experimenting on kids you know, smoking, MacDonalds and now we're gonna do it with this?" Musk's platform, featuring both text and image-based AI, is accessible to anyone aged 13 and above. There is presently no age verification procedure when registering for X. Whilst the mother-of-three believes AI might make children "die" she also states she is anticipating a fresh chapter of AI. Grimes said: "In some ways I can't wait for superintelligence - in some ways I can't wait. It's not as easy since I've had kids", reports the Mirror US . In 2021, Elon Musk , who now shares three children with Grimes, revealed they were "semi-separated" but remained committed to co-parenting their offspring X Æ A-Xii Musk, born in 2020. Nevertheless, they proceeded to have additional children together and the precise nature of their relationship remains unclear. Grimes, a Canadian singer and artist, has voiced her concerns about children's exposure to technology, stating that seeing toddlers trying to zoom in on magazine pages is "dark". She added: "In school; we should teach digital hygiene - I really think Chat GPT and stuff should be banned for kids under the age of 21 -22." Elon Musk, the tech mogul and Grimes' partner, shared his vision for his AI company, and its chatbot, Grok. He said their mission is "to understand the universe" and to "answer the biggest questions." Grimes also touched upon the backlash she faced due to her relationship with Musk, saying: "I just can't engage with that everyday especially when it stops being about me and it started being about the behaviour of other people that aren't me that I can't control." The couple welcomed a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, through surrogacy in 2021. In 2023, it was revealed by The New York Times' review of Musk's biography, they had kept the birth of their third child, Techno Mechanicus, a secret since he was born in 2022. Regarding Open AI's proposed erotica feature, Grimes expressed her disapproval, saying, "I think this is really bad", adding, "everyone's approaching this as if its like a regular technology - but it's a mind." This comes after Musk launched Grok 3's "sexy mode," in February, which allows the chatbot to engage in romantic, adult conversations.Speaking about the impact of AI on art, she stated: "I can't think about the art. Because I don't want to die and I don't want kids to die. We're in an arms race - the art race is fake." The mum went on to say: "They're making video probably because that is the best way to teach physics to anything that does not exist in a world of physics. "I'm sure that it's not a big conspiracy to create a superintelligence - except that they f*****g say that." She did not specify who "they" are. Musk's latest AI invention is Grokopedia - a "more neutral and more accurate than Wikipedia", according to the former DOGE (Department Of Government Efficiency) lead. Discussing her own use of social media, she suggested she couldn't face the criticism she received due to her association with the Republican billionaire. She said: "I had to stay away from psycho hazards. I had to stay away from things that were about how terrible of a person I was."
