Arnold Allen, 31, took to social media to share the update with his followers, while sporting a number of fresh cuts and bruises across his face and neck. The British fighter explained that he's currently training in Canada and, during his time there, he was confronted over his inability to speak the language. Explaining the incident, he said: 'Yeah, we've got a different set-up here at the minute. 'I'm in Montreal, currently, training for stuff and I got beat up in the street because I wasn't using French. He continued: 'I got jumped because, yeah, I didn't speak French. That's what the bruises are about. Don't worry about it'. What makes the news even more shocking is the knowledge of Allen's near-perfect record inside the cage. The British star has had 23 fights throughout his MMA career and has lost on just three occasions. Two of those defeats came in the last two years. His first MMA loss came in 2014, prior to his time in the UFC, before Allen went on an impressive 12-fight win-streak up until he met Max Holloway in April 2023. Allen fell to a unanimous defeat against the UFC legend, before losing in the same manner when he returned to the octagon to fight Movsar Evloev in January 2024. However, Allen did manage to return to winning ways in July last year after beating Giga Chikadze via unanimous decision in Manchester, England. He was ordered to pay $4,200 in compensation to the victims involved. According to an ESPN report at the time, Allen had been intoxicated and became involved in an altercation in an attempt to 'protect his girlfriend'. According to the report, the owner of the bar also testified that Allen had attacked him during the evening.
