Tyson Fury prediction before Fabio Wardley fight proved spot on

Tyson Fury predicted Joseph Parker was going to have a lot of problems with Fabio Wardley shortly before he was beaten. That is according to the Brit's manager Spencer Brown who revealed that the pair shared their thoughts with each other ahead of the main event at the O2 Arena. Parker put his WBO interim title on the line on Saturday against Wardley - with the winner earning themselves a crack at Oleksandr Usyk. Wardley would go on to produce a career-defining performance on fight night, stopping the former world champion in the 11th round . The undefeated British star unleashed a barrage of punches before referee Howard Foster eventually stepped in and waved off the contest. The Brit showed real adversity as he was down on two of the three judges' scorecards when he stopped the fight in the penultimate round. Many were left stunned by the result, but Fury was ahead of the curve and predicted that his long-time pal Parker would have a tough night at the office. In an interview with iFL TV , Brown said: "Tyson said to me 'that Joe is going to have a lot of problems with this fella.' He said 'I have sparred with him. He catches you with punches that you don't realise with some funny angles.' Because he is not taught the traditional way is he? So, he has got his own way of doing stuff." Speaking after his historic win in London, Wardley said: "I said all the way through this build-up that we picked Joseph Parker because I believe I'm at the top and I proved I'm at the top. All credit to Joseph, he can't get enough respect and he deserves all the respect from the boxing community. He took a chance when he didn't have to, and we knew he wasn't going anywhere quickly. We had to pick our spots and eventually we got them out of there." With Wardley next in line for a crack at Usyk, promoter Frank Warren is eyeing a March date for Brit's mandatory shot at the Ukrainian. “The fight [between Usyk and Wardley] has been ordered, so there will be a period of negotiations now," Warren said. "And if we can’t reach an agreement, then it will go out for purse bids. I believe we will reach an agreement. The fight won’t be until next year, of course. I think it will be sometime in March... I’d love it to be in the UK, but there are only two places for this fight, and that’s either in Riyadh or here in London, that’s it. I’d do it at Wembley Stadium and it would be a sell-out. You know what you’re getting with Usyk, and you know what you’re getting with Fabio; it’s going to be exciting. "Fabio has got to be one of the most exciting fighters in the world . As a draw, Fabio is one of the biggest draws in boxing. In his last fight at Ipswich, he drew 27,000 people to a football stadium in heavy rain. Then tonight shows he’s a massive attraction, and it will only get bigger.” Despite the rallying cry from Warren, Chisora has advised his good friend Wardley to avoid Usyk and instead face Daniel Dubois . Speaking to BoxNation just moments after the contest on Saturday night, Chisora said. “I said it. I knew that this f***ing kid is tough as nails. "I spar him and I hit him and he keeps coming back. Fabio Wardley did amazing for himself and his family and I f***ing called it from day one. Fabio wins it.” Chisora, 41, was then asked if he believes Wardley will beat Usyk - to which he replied: “No, he won’t beat Usyk, Take some time. Have a fight with Daniel [Dubois].” Joshua Buatsi and Zach Parker will clash on Saturday, November 1 in Manchester. The undercard is anticipated to commence at approximately 6pm UK time (1pm ET / 10am PT / 12pm CT). For the headline encounter, Parker will probably make his ring walk first at 10pm BST (5pm ET / 2pm PT / 4pm CT) with Buatsi expected to follow straight afterwards. The entire spectacle will be broadcast live on DAZN. This popular streaming service can be accessed as an additional subscription on television sets. It's also available for live streaming via the official website or through the downloadable application. A DAZN membership costs £119.99 annually or £14.99 monthly, alternatively £24.99 on a flexible arrangement that permits cancellation at any time.
