Wingstop UK, famous for its fried chicken wings and iconic flavourings, opens the doors at The Centre, Livingston. A crowd of over 200 people started queuing two hours before the launch. Twin sisters, Laura Jones from Bathgate and Louise Marshall from Armadale, who is a big fan of the famous wings joined the queue just before 9am. Louise said: “I’ve been to a few other Wingstop restaurants and was delighted when I heard there was one opening at The Centre, Livingston and decided to get my twin sister along to the opening to savour the great tasting wings for herself – and she wasn’t disappointed. “We shared the atomic and original wings which were well worth the wait!” Diners can expect the full menu of wings, tenders and burgers all cooked to order and hand-sauced-and-tossed in Wingstop UKI’s bold flavours – from Hawaiian and Lemon Pepper to Mango Habanero and Atomic. Milkshakes, freestyle drinks, Camden Town Beer, as well as a churros selection for dessert are also on offer. The opening advances Wingstop UKI’s ambitious growth strategy, including recently announced plans to launch in Ireland. The brand currently operates 78 sites across the UK and employs over 3,000 people, with plans grow to as many as 200 sites within the next five years. Driven by standout products and a culture-led approach that connects with a younger audience, Wingstop UKI continues to build its reputation through authentic collaborations, events, and partnerships spanning music, fashion, and sport. Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI, said: “We’re thrilled to finally open our first Wingstop in Livingston, perfectly placed between Edinburgh and Glasgow. “It’s such a great spot that brings together shopping, entertainment, and amazing food – the perfect place for us to join the area. “I’m so proud of the team who made this happen and grateful to all our fans across Scotland who’ve been waiting for this one. We can’t wait to welcome everyone in and share our bold flavours with Livingston.” Wingstop UK will add to the existing, diverse mix of over 150 stores and restaurants at the 1 million sq. ft. shopping centre, which welcomes over 14.8 million visitors a year.
