The chaos associated with the ramped-up removal of immigrants by the Trump administration is creating massive trauma, anxiety, and depression for the families of those who are affected by this inhumane policy. It impacts the children, whether they are in their teens or too young to have any idea what happened to their father or mother. The tearing apart of families is certainly something this country should not stand for. Whether they were born here (as many are) or have already experienced being uprooted from the familiar environment of their country of origin, many children are now faced with the loss of a guardian whose only sin was the search for a better life. Even worse, children as young as 13 are facing the same fate as adults. Advertisement Children have been adversely affected both physically and mentally. School attendance is down as many students are afraid of being arrested, for the same reason parents are not going to work. This cannot be a positive approach for this country.
