US President Donald Trump broke into an impromptu dance on the Kuala Lumpur airport tarmac as he arrived in Malaysia's capital on Saturday for the ASEAN Summit. In a video shared by the White House's Rapid Response team, the 79-year-old leader is seen moving to the rhythm of traditional drums near Air Force One, his energetic steps drawing cheers and laughter from those around him, including Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Trump received a vibrant welcome ceremony featuring traditional performances representing Malaysia's Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Borneo Indigenous communities. Midway through the performance, the US president couldn't resist joining in as he waved his arm and busted a move with the dancers as PM Ibrahim cheered him on. The White House account captioned the video: "TRUMP DANCE — MALAYSIA EDITION!" Within hours of landing in Malaysia, Trump finalised trade agreements with four countries, including deals involving critical minerals with Thailand and Malaysia, amid competing efforts from Beijing in the rapidly growing sector, according to a report by Reuters. Later, leaders of Thailand and Cambodia signed an expanded ceasefire deal on Sunday, watched over by the US President. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his Cambodian counterpart Hun Manet signed the agreement at a ceasefire ceremony in front of a backdrop covered in US insignia and the words "Delivering Peace", building on a truce signed three months ago. As Trump mingled with other leaders, US and Chinese negotiators met on the sidelines to avert further escalations in a trade war. Later, the US side said the meeting had built a "successful framework" ahead of talks between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea next week. (With agency inputs)
