Former WWE and WCW head writer Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Triple H. The two worked together during Vince's days as a writer in the company. Russo was the brains behind several successful storylines in the WWE during the Attitude Era. He also had notable stints in WCW and TNA Wrestling as head writer and booker. He is Russo showed up as a special guest on former WWE star Maven's YouTube channel. The two were discussing some of the biggest names in the business. Vince noted that during his early years in WWE, Hunter was a sweet guy. However, the veteran writer admitted not knowing much about the current version of the Hall of Famer after he left the company. "This is difficult for me, and I'll tell you why. The Triple H I worked with, was a sweetheart of a guy. I worked with the early years of Triple H when he had the valet on his arm." He continued, "The Triple H I worked with, I loved. Chyna, too, Chyna was a part of him. I loved them both. Now, I don't know the Triple H who married Stephanie McMahon. I don't know the Triple H with power. I think I've had one email exchange with Triple H in the last 25 years, and that's been the extent of it. So I can only base it on the guy that I worked with, and the guy that I worked with, an absolute sweetheart of a guy."Vince Russo helped Triple H after the curtain callDuring the discussion, Russo recalled advising Hunter after the curtain call incident in Madison Square Garden. The infamous moment happened during a live event in 1996 when Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash broke character to embrace in the ring, blurring the lines between fiction and reality. The Game was punished for the incident, losing his push and not winning the King of the Ring tournament that year. Russo recalled telling the star to power through the punishment because better things were waiting for him on the other side.
