Tribeca is heading back to Miami Beach. The festival announced it will return to Art Basel this December for its fourth annual takeover, staging two nights of live music and screenings at the Miami Beach Bandshell. Presented by Google Gemini, the Tribeca Festival at Art Basel Miami Beach will run Dec. 5–6 and spotlight rising global talent across genres. Bogotá-based, Latin Grammy–nominated group Monsieur Periné will open the series on Friday, followed by a Saturday performance from Hermanos Gutiérrez, the Swiss-Ecuadorian duo known for their cinematic guitar instrumentals. More acts and guests will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets go on sale November 7 at 11 a.m. ET via tribecafilm.com/miami. In addition to the live music slate, Tribeca is teaming with ESPN for an invitation-only preview of two new short films exploring the overlap between sports and the Latino experience, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers moderated by Emmy-winning documentarian Rudy Valdez — another nod to Tribeca’s continued expansion beyond film into culture-at-large programming. “Tribeca was founded on the belief that storytelling connects communities,” Vincent Cassous, the festival’s head of music programming, said in a statement. “At Art Basel Miami Beach, we’re celebrating the emerging artists and musicians who are reshaping the cultural landscape — and doing it in one of the most vibrant creative cities in the world.”
