Taylor Swift skipped Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 9 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter usually catches Chiefs home games at Arrowhead Stadium, which is why it wasn’t a complete surprise that she was not in attendance for the Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Bills at Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday. Kelce, who has registered 41 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns in nine games played this season, now gets some time off in the middle of the campaign. The Chiefs are on bye in Week 10, which means that the four-time All-Pro tight end is able to spend some time with his future wife. Kelce dropped the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday. In it, he was asked by his brother, NFL legend Jason Kelce, about his plans for the bye week. Being the ultimate competitor that he is, the Chiefs star admitted that he will still be giving a lot of thought to football amid his mid-season break. “I’m thinking about how the [expletive] are we going to beat the Denver Broncos,” Travis Kelce said. “That’s going to be on my mind the next two weeks.” Jason Kelce responded by giving his brother an important reminder. “Well, for the next week, at least take your mind a little bit off,” suggested the former Philadelphia Eagles star. “So are you doing anything fun? You going to get into travel? What are you doing over the week? Tell us about your personal life.” Travis Kelce refused to answer his big brother’s personal question. “Nope, no chance,” Travis Kelce responded. As it turns out, Travis Kelce and Swift decided to spend their time together in New York City, which is where Swift owns a couple of homes. The couple was spotted together on a night out at private members’ club Zero Bond on Friday. It is worth noting that Kelce also flew to New York City last year during the Chiefs’ bye week. The two were spotted on a double date with celebrity couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Kelce will likely spend the next few days in NYC before he flies back to Kansas City to rejoin the Chiefs. Their next game is on Sunday, Nov. 16, when they battle the Broncos in a Week 11 matchup. Kelce and Co. will be on the road again, with kickoff from Empower Field at Mile High scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
