Tracker’s’ Latest Episode Has Us Seriously Worried About Reenie

Tracker Season 3 Episode 4, titled “No Man’s Land,” took Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw to Fort Morris, Texas. “Cowboy Colter” was in full effect, as he found himself escaping a moving vehicle in the middle of nowhere (and with no cell service) after being taken by corrupt officers whose side hustle included working for a local drug dealer named Lonzo Diaz. Colter’s survival skills in the wilderness didn’t let him down, as he stole a horse to make his way back into town. And he looked good doing it, too! 🎬SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 But what brought Colter into town in the first place? A case involving the disappearance of a local veterinarian named Trey, who was taken from his hotel room in the lawless town. His girlfriend, Gracie, called it in, but she wasn’t forthcoming about her true identity—her name was actually Maggie, and she was the wife of the local sheriff in town. While it initially seemed as though Sheriff Holt (Big Sky’s Patrick Gallagher) was behind the attack in the hotel room, he actually proved to be a decent man who helped Colter save Trey, despite the affair with his wife, who turned out to be a victim of a revenge plot from a young man named Jimmy Ferris. The 19-year-old used Trey to get closer to Diaz, hoping to get revenge on the drug dealer, whom he blamed for his mom’s death after she was caught in the crossfire and died in his arms when he was just 14. The bigger concern, however—since we know that Colter can always take care of himself, no matter what predicament he finds himself in—was Reenie (Fiona Rene). She trudged into work in the same clothes she had on the night before, wearing oversized glasses, and seemingly nursing a hangover. When Randy (Chris Lee) pressed her on her whereabouts from the night before, he caught her in a web of lies, as she assured him she was just overworked and took her work home with her. Randy knew she was lying, and she knew that he knew, but Randy left it alone, simply assuring her that he was concerned about her emotional state. He even brought her a grilled cheese from his favorite food truck, which she pushed away in disgust when he left, further adding to the hangover theory. The pressure of the job may be catching up to her, but it’s more likely that fans are getting a real-time glimpse into Reenie nursing a broken heart. It’s her reality following the split with Elliot (Michael Rady), which she mentioned to Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles) briefly in Tracker Season 3 Episode 2. The demise of their romantic relationship was kind of expected, considering he brought in a case that put Colter and Reenie in a lot of danger, raising plenty of trust issues. In an interview with TV Insider, showrunner Elwood Reid previously revealed she was “traumatized by it, and he wasn’t exactly honest with her all the time.” “I think she feels a little betrayed by that. And we’re going to see as the season goes on, the way that Reenie deals with that, what happened to her, and does she blame herself? Does she start acting out a little bit? Does she start to come a little bit unraveled?” he said, adding, “It’s just a little storyline we’re touching out with her. It’s going to dovetail back. She may have to face the boyfriend again for some information, so we don’t know.” Considering Reenie can sus people out almost immediately, she should know that you have to believe the red flags when you see them. That doesn’t make the breakup less painful, and everyone copes in their own way, but we do hope that Reenie comes out stronger because of it. Maybe all the heartache will eventually reignite a spark between her and Colter? And if not, there’s surely someone better for her than Elliot.
