‘DWTS’ Fan Favorites Have Iconic Reunion After Shocking Elimination

Dancing With the Stars season 34 fan favorites Rylee Arnold and Scott Hoying reunited for a fun appearance following their shocking elimination. During Hoying’s show with the Pentatonix on Saturday, November 8, Arnold, 20, joined her former dance partner on stage to perform their routine to Jennie’s “Like Jennie” that was featured on the show’s TikTok Night. After the pair performed the number on the show, they received a score of 22 out of 30 from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Following their performance at the concert, Hoying, 34, and Arnold shared a sweet embrace before she left the stage. The sweet reunion left fans in delight, and many took to social media to share clips of the moment. Meanwhile, Arnold took to her Instagram Stories to also reflect on their reunion. “This was so cool!!! Literally so happy to be back with @scotthoying,” she wrote alongside a video of Hoying introducing her to the crowd via her Instagram Story on November 8. Additionally, Hoying and the Pentatonix’s Instagram account also shared the video on their feeds. “AHHH!!! @ryleearnold1 joined us for our first night of tour to recreate our dance from @dancingwiththestars! Thank you SLC for a beautiful night!” he captioned the clip. After the clip was posted online, several fans rushed to the comments section to gush about the reunion. “OHHHH YEAHHHH, MY FAVORITE COUPLEEE!!” one person wrote, while another added, “I have been waiting all day for this to be posted!!! My favorite part of last night’s concert was being part of this reel with our lights and watching Scott and Rylee dance!!!” The duo were eliminated from DWTS in October after they earned a score of 28 out of 40 during the Wicked Night, in which they performed a contemporary routine to “The Wizard and I.” Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Following their elimination, Hoying admitted he got “really flustered” in the middle of their performance. “I just like, blacked out and didn’t kill it,” Hoying said during a joint interview with Arnold on the “Official Dancing With the Stars Podcast,” which is hosted by season 33 winner Joey Graziadei. “And I feel bad. I feel bad for Rylee because she worked so hard, but I’m proud of what we did.” Hoying went on to explain he had a “weird freak accident” in which he forgot some of the choreography. “I’d done it a million times, drilled it and then I just blanked,” the musician said. “I missed a move and then I could not recover. So I was kind of moving my body and watching Rylee and trying to get back on.” In light of their elimination, many fans wondered if their exit was set up so that Hoying could begin rehearsals with the Pentatonix ahead of their tour. However, he seemingly reacted the speculation while talking to Extra on October 21. “Pentatonix is going on tour in two weeks,” he said at the time. “I was going to do both at the same time, which I had been stressing about and losing sleep over.” Hoying added that the “silver lining” of the situation was that he could fully focus on touring with the a cappella group. “But I won’t be with Rylee,” he said, joking that he might need to be escorted out of the ballroom in order to accept that they were eliminated.
