One thing is for certain — KPop Demon Hunters costumes are going to be rampant this Halloween season. The Netflix musical fantasy sensation was the hit of the summer, receiving rave reviews and breaking the streaming platform's all-time viewership record. It is also now a given that KPop Demon Hunters will show up at the Oscars in the Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song categories. Meanwhile, the fandom is still celebrating the movie in incredible and creative ways. Fittingly, KPop Demon Hunters is returning to theaters for Halloween weekend, giving people even more reason to theme their costumes around the movie. Following KPop Demon Hunters' massive success on Netflix, it was released in theaters for one weekend in August, and grossed $18 million. Those attending screenings this weekend may see brilliant cosplays like the one showcased by @EugeneLeeYang on X. Yang, an internet personality and former member of the online entertainment group and media production company The Try Guys, dons a very detailed Jinu/Saja Boy ensemble, nailing the character's demon patterns and some dramatic poses. Check out this cosplay below: This cosplay also illustrates how the largely villainous demon boy band has become just as much of a fixture in the zeitgeist as the movie's trio of protagonists, the girl group known as Huntr/x. Saja Boys' two main songs, "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol," have become streaming hits alongside the inspirational lyrics of "Golden" and "What It Sounds Like." Netflix is campaigning only "Golden" for Best Original Song. Yang's cosplay specifically invokes the setting of "Your Idol," when the Saja Boys, revealing more of their demon appearances in the human world than they ever have before, attract a massive crowd to an impromptu concert. Rumi (Arden Cho) then shows up and Hutr/x reunites, driving away the demon horde and sealing the Honmoon, with some help from Jinu (Ahn Hyo-seop). Cosplays for Rumi, Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) are likely to be even more popular. KPop Demon Hunters is expected to top the box office yet again, thanks to its broad family appeal and several of the biggest awards season movies not hitting theaters until next week. The sing-along, combined with Halloween, could turn it into a distinct event, despite the movie having been in theaters already.
