Unfortunately for Kayla Nicole, just about everything she does is interpreted as a diss due to her past relationship. The fact that her ex, Travis Kelce, moved on with the biggest pop star in the world has Kansas City Chiefs fans and legions of Swifties watching Nicole closely. Of course, people read too much into many things. But Nicole’s Halloween get-up has rubbed Taylor Swift’s fans the wrong way. The outfit inspired by Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” video has gotten plenty of praise from WAGS and Braxton herself. Taylor Swift’s fans react to Kayla Nicole’s video Nicole has posted a few cryptic messages in the past. They may or may not have been directed at her ex and his new love. Some expected her to have a more pointed response after Swift dropped her The Life of a Showgirl album. The highly anticipated record includes the track “Opalite,” which contains lyrics believed to reference Kelce’s relationship with Nicole. For Halloween, Nicole took to Instagram with a clip of her dressed up as and dancing just like the R&B legend did for the 2000 hit “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” Nicole mouthed the words to the lyrics, “Did you know about us back then?/Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?/I’m not thinking ’bout him/But you married him/Do you know I made him leave?/Do you know he begged to stay with me?/He wasn’t man enough for me.” If this was Nicole’s clapback, then it did the job. Many Swifties were up in arms over the clip. One commented, “Geez, girl, it’s been few years. Get yourself together, find a job or new obsession.” Another piled on, adding, “Ummm while Kayla was planning to be Temu Toni Taylor Alison Swift is planning a wedding … Kayla dressing like a A-list celebrity while Taylor is one.” A third chimed in, “How saying that your ex, that didn’t not want marry you was not man enough is a diss to his actual fiancée to whom he popped the question two years [into] the relationship even tho he was with you for 5 years ?? The math isn’t mathing.” Toni Braxton and others react to Nicole recreating ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ While many Swifties were upset over the video, Nicole also got some love for it, including from Ms. Braxton herself. The singer saw the post and commented, “You killed it mama!” Others in the sports world let Nicole know what they thought, too. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, expressed her approval and liked the video, as did WNBA star Angel Reese. Entrepreneur and girlfriend of Phoenix Suns player Jalen Green, Draya Michele, also shared her reaction to the clip in Nicole’s comments, calling it “So good.” Even Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ brother, Jackson Mahomes, liked Nicole’s video. That surprised a few people since Nicole previously admitted that everyone in Kelce’s circle, including the Mahomes family, stopped speaking to her, revealing: “We don’t talk anymore … and that’s not really my choice.”
