Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Nov 10: Providing a significant employment opportunity to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir while serving the Nation, the Territorial Army (TA) has announced district-wise schedules for recruitment rallies to be conducted under 126 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) JAK RIF and 157 & 158 Infantry Battalions (Home and Hearth) Sikh Light Infantry. The rallies will be held between November 30 and December 17, 2025, covering aspirants from Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, and other districts of J&K. According to the official notification in this regard, the first phase of the recruitment rally will be organized by 126 Infantry Battalion (TA) JAK RIF at Madhopur (Punjab) from November 30 to December 7, 2025. This phase will cater to the candidates from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, along with Pathankot district of Punjab. The second phase will be conducted by 157 and 158 Infantry Battalions (TA) (H&H) Sikh Light Infantry at Kathua between December 10 and December 17, 2025. Candidates from Pathankot district will appear for recruitment on Nov30, 2025; Districts of Reasi, Kishtwar, Ramban, and Doda on December 1; Districts of Udhampur, Pulwama, Budgam, Ganderbal, and Anantnag on December 2; Districts of Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla, Kupwara, Shopian, Bandipora, and Kulgam on December 3; District Jammu, Tehsil of Srinagar, and Union Territory of Ladakh on December 4; District Samba on December 5; Tehsils of Billawar, Basohli, Bani, Mahanpur, Lohai Malhar, and Ramkote (Kathua District) on December 6 and Tehsils of Kathua, Hiranagar, Nagri, Marheen, and Dinga Amb on December 7. For the recruitment in 157 and 158 Infantry Battalions (TA) (H&H) Sikh Light Infantry, under the second phase, the detailed schedule is December 10 (for Teryath, Paoni, and Reasi Tehsils), December 11 ( Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur, and Ramgarh Tehsils of Samba District), December 12 ( Jammu District), December 13 ( Kathua, Billawar, Basohli, Bani, and Ramkote Tehsils of Kathua District), December 14 ( Hiranagar, Nagri, Marheen, Dinga Amb, Mahanpur, Lohai Malhar Tehsils of Kathua District), December 16 ( Samba District) and December 17 ( Majalta and Ramnagar Tehsils of Udhampur District). The rally location for these dates will be 158 Infantry Battalion (TA) (H&H) Sikh LI, Kathua. The eligible candidate must have attained the age of 18 to 42 years as on the date of recruitment with minimum height 160 cm; minimum weight 50 kg and Chest 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion). Minimum education qualification is 10th pass with 45 percent marks in aggregate and at least 33 percent in each subject. For the boards following a grading system, a minimum ‘D’ grade is required in each subject.
