Hyderabad: The anti-narcotics EAGLE cops has said it had coordinated with local police to detain three habitual drug peddlers under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 to prevent them from engaging in similar activities in future.Suhas Dada Dayagude alias Dada Patil, of Solapur district, Maharashtra, involved in six NDPS trafficking cases; Duggempudi Shiva Shanker Reddy of Kothagudem district, involved in eight cases; and Sapavath Venkanna of Mahbubabad district, had been lodged in prison for their repeated involvement in transporting and selling large quantities of NDPS drugs, said Sandeep Shyandilya, director of the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE). Team Formed for Chiru ComplaintHyderabad: City police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said that a special team had been formed to inquiry into the complaint lodged by Tollywood actor K. Chiranjeevi regarding a deep fake case. “As technology continues to grow, celebrities, leaders, and prominent people are being victimised by deep fakes on social media platforms,” Sajjanar said. He said they were made to sign an undertaking that they would face legal action if they violated the conditions.2 Daughters of dairy owners drown in quarryHyderabad: Two sisters slipped into a 10-foot-deep water-filled quarry and drowned in NFC Nagar on Sunday evening when they were out grazing cattle belonging to their parents who run a dairy business. Ghatkesar police said on Monday that the victims were a Class 9 student from a private school, and a 17-yaer-old student of a Kendriya Vidyalaya.Their parents who returned home at about 4 pm noticed their daughters were missing while the cattle returned home. The parents waited until 6 pm before heading to the quarry area, a spot commonly used for grazing, to search for their daughters. They found the girls’ slippers lying near the quarry.Suspecting that the sisters might have fallen into the water, the family called the Ghatkesar police. Police teams, along with the fire department personnel and local swimmers reached the spot and launched a search operation. After several hours of effort, the bodies were retrieved around 10.30 pm.
