Suzlon Energy Q2 Profit Surges 538% To Rs 1,279 Crore, Highest In Three Decades; Revenue Up 85%

Suzlon Energy delivered a milestone performance in the second quarter of FY26, posting its highest quarterly profit in three decades. The renewable energy solutions provider reported a 538% year-on-year surge in consolidated profit after tax (excluding exceptional items) to Rs 1,279 crore. Revenue from operations jumped 85% year-on-year to Rs 3,866 crore, supported by strong execution in the wind turbine generator (WTG) segment and higher deliveries. Operating performance remained robust, with EBITDA rising 145% year-on-year to Rs 721 crore and profit before tax increasing 179% to Rs 562 crore. The sharp rise in PAT was aided by the recognition of Rs 717 crore in incremental deferred tax assets during the quarter. Following the results announcement during market hours, Suzlon’s shares were trading 1.1% higher at Rs 60.09 on the NSE. Operational metrics also hit record levels, with the company achieving its highest-ever Q2 deliveries in India at 565 MW. The total orderbook crossed 6 GW, including more than 2 GW added in the first half of FY26, taking the cumulative orderbook to 6.2 GW. As of September 30, 2025, Suzlon held net cash of Rs 1,480 crore. Suzlon reaffirmed its leadership as India’s largest domestic wind manufacturer with an installed manufacturing capacity of 4.5 GW. The company highlighted a strong demand environment, with India targeting 122 GW of wind capacity by FY32 and growing requirements from hybrid, RTC, FDRE, and commercial-industrial segments. Annual wind installations are expected to exceed 6.6 GW this year. “We are happy to report our highest-ever Q2 deliveries in India, which led to strong performance and profitability. Our 6.2 GW orderbook reaffirms the strength of our strategy and execution. With a clear focus on our core business, expanded manufacturing capacity, and world-class products designed and made in India, we are well positioned for sustainable, profitable growth,” said JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group.
