Suspect identified in rash of work vehicle burglaries in Mayfield, Mayfield Heights and other communities

MAYFIELD, Ohio -- A work van was found broken into while it was parked at a business on Beta Drive Oct. 27. An estimated $4,000 worth of tools were stolen from it. Several area agencies have reported similar occurrences with a Garfield Heights man, 55, being identified as a suspect through a joint investigation. Mayfield Heights had two reports of HVAC vans broken into the same week and Richmond Heights police took a similar report the previous day. In all those incidents, the vans had been parked at apartment complexes.
