Equity-index futures for Japan and Australia slipped and US contracts edged lower after the S&P 500 erased earlier gains to close little changed. Treasuries slumped and gold edged up after four days of losses. Earnings from tech giants were mixed with Meta Platforms Inc. falling 7.7% in extended trading while Alphabet Inc. jumped 6%. Microsoft Corp. also retreated after earnings.
