La Voix joked she'd suffered a Strictly Come Dancing 'disaster' before her first live performance on the show. The performer, presenter, and singer is one of the celebrities set to compete in the dance contest this year, having signed up for the 2025 series alongside 14 other famous faces. La Voix, who competed in the 2024 series of the BBC hit RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, was seen making her debut in the ballroom during the launch show last Saturday (September 20), which is when the Strictly's 2025 pairings were revealed. Among the first group of couples to be revealed was La Voix , who previously competed on ITV series Britain’s Got Talent, and fan-favourite pro dancer Aljaz Skorjanec. In a hilarious moment, La Voix declared that the Slovenian dancer was ‘the one she didn’t want’ as she dramatically stormed off, before revealing that she was joking. The pair will be seen performing for the first time during the first live show of the series on Saturday (September 27), with it being revealed that they'll be dancing an American Smooth to Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. Hours before the first show on Saturday, La Voix took to Instagram with a tongue-in-cheek video in which she joked there had been a 'disaster' ahead of her performance. In the video, she started by saying to the camera: "Hello darlings, it's time for the iconic Strictly spray tan. I've asked for extra strong because I'm a red head and I don't want to be pasty for Strictly. Wish me luck." The video then cut off before La Voix returned some time later. Using a filter which made her appear orange in the clip, she jokingly fumed: "I'm furious! I said I wanted the same level of tanning that Claudia Winkleman. Look at the state of me!" Alongside the post, the drag star wrote: "IT’S GONE WRONG! the iconic strictly spray tan disaster! Tune into first live show tomorrow @bbcstrictly #AliVoix."
