Mangaluru: St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, is gearing up to host Jnana Sethu 2025, a flagship science competition and celebration designed to promote curiosity, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration among high school and pre-university students. The event will be held on 7 November 2025, marking another milestone in SJEC’s tradition of fostering a culture of innovation and inquiry. Bridging knowledge with application In line with the spirit of National Science Day, Jnana Sethu 2025 aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This unique platform will allow students to exhibit innovative projects, models, research posters, and interactive demonstrations centred around the theme “Science for Peace.” The event’s emphasis on creativity and research underscores the vital role of science in addressing global challenges while promoting peace and sustainability. Eminent guests and scientific sessions The grand inauguration will be held in the presence of Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese and President of SJEC, who will grace the event as Chief Guest.He will be joined by Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash Dsouza, Director of SJEC; Dr Rio Dsouza, Principal; and Rev. Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, along with other dignitaries and members of the college management. Distinguished academicians, industry experts, and research professionals are expected to deliver keynote addresses, panel discussions, and technical sessions—all aimed at inspiring young minds to pursue scientific excellence and collaboration.
