The Indian star faced a life-threatening injury but has recovered from it quite swiftly; however, his stay in Australia continues to lengthen with time. The Indian superstar, who started off well with the bat at Adelaide, faced a blunt injury to his lower abdomen, as a result of which he had a laceration to his spleen. The incident that happened last Saturday, on the 25th of October, could have led to something massive had it not been quickly identified and treated, leading to the cessation of internal bleeding. Shreyas Iyer has been discharged from the hospital - BCCI The Indian star, who had to undergo a minor procedure, has now recovered from his fragile state, due to which he was kept under special supervision in the ICU. The BCCI medical team, who had constantly been updating on Shreyas's health, has confirmed that he is doing well and has been discharged from the hospital today. The BCCI has further extended its heartfelt thanks to the doctors from both nations who ensured the speedy recovery of the Indian batter. Dr. Kouroush Haghigi and his team in Sydney, along with Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala in India, were the men behind this remarkable recovery.
