Sean Strickland hits out at Alex Pereira with four-word reaction as 'Poatan' spars with Mark Zuckerberg

It appears Sean Strickland wasn't happy about Alex Pereira training with Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg. After Pereira shared some clips of him grappling with Zuckerberg via an Instagram post, Strickland took to the comments section to issue an icy four-word response. It's no secret that Zuckerberg is a massive fan of martial arts and trains in jiu-jitsu regularly. The Meta CEO has previously trained with high-profile UFC stars like Alexander Volkanovski, Israel Adesanya, and Mackenzie Dern. Unsurprisingly, he regularly attends UFC events and even made his tech company the promotion's official technology partner. In a recent Instagram post, Pereira shared clips of him training with Zuckerberg at the Cruz Mixed Martial Arts Academy in Nutley, New Jersey. The gym is notably owned by Pereira's longtime coach, Plinio Cruz. In the caption, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion indicated that it was his first training session after his title win over Magomed Ankalaev in their rematch at UFC 320 and wrote:"My first training after my last fight @zuck." Although the two are former rivals, they have trained together since their fight in July 2022.In an interview with Spinnin Backfist, he was asked about having Pereira in his corner and how the Brazilian communicates. 'Tarzan' replied:''He [Pereira] don't speak English, he just looks at you angry, he just looks at you real fu**ing angry. Alright 'Poatan', 'relax dude, I'm fighting, you're not', but he's just a good dude. I just like him, he's out that way, he's just a good dude.''In another interview with the UFC (via @ChampRDS on X), Strickland explained why Pereira wanted to corner him for the du Plessis rematch and said:“I think Alex is an angry motherfu**er. Like Alex is angry and for some reason dude he hates Dricus. Like, I don’t know what you did to him, but he fu**ing hates you, dude, so it’s like the way he looks at Dricus sometimes, I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m fighting him dawg, like it’s me dude’.
