A getaway on a Scottish island that was recently crowned one of Europe's best travel spots is available to book for better than 60 per cent off. The hotel has been described by one guest as a "lovely setting to relax". As reported by the Daily Record , Islay in the Inner Hebrides was recently named one of the top travel destinations in Europe for 2026 by Condé Nast Traveler. The island is famous for its various whisky distilleries, with Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, and more all offering tours and other visitor experiences. One of Islay's best-known hotels is currently available to book at a 64 per cent discount through Wowcher . The voucher website is offering an overnight stay for two at Islay House for £79, instead of the standard price of £219.95. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, as well as a late 12pm checkout. All of the guest rooms come with hypoallergenic bedding, a work desk, a TV , a wardrobe, and garden or sea views. Each one also includes a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. "It looks like the new owners are really trying to bring it all back to its former glory, and from what we saw, they're doing a great job." Another described the hotel as "an okay place but not luxury." They added: "The staff are lovely but there is little they can do."
