Sauce Gardner is officially a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Though the young former Defensive Player of the Year posted on social media, thanking New York and his fans, he finally spoke about his true feelings in his first presser with his new team. Naturally, Gardner is happy about his situation, but he was honest about his initial worry that he was being sent to another team that had a losing record. It would have been disappointing to see him go from one struggling team to another, but the Jets chose instead to send him to a contender. The Colts needed a big boost in their secondary, and they got one of the best in terms of being a shutdown corner. There have been knocks on Gardner in 2025, but he remains one of the best at the position. The young defender was recently in concussion protocol, but he practiced fully on Thursday.
