Saints Seemingly Make Final Trade Decision on Chris Olave

The Buffalo Bills have been expected to be one of the more active teams at the NFL trade deadline, but have yet to make a significant move. More news: Saints Make Major Quarterback Decision Ahead of Rams Game At 5-2 overall and in second place in the AFC East behind the 6-2 New England Patriots, it seems apparent that Buffalo has to make a move to complete its roster. On the offensive side of the football, Josh Allen continues to be without legitimate weapons, so trading for a wide receiver makes the most sense. According to the latest report from Dianna Russini of The Athletic, it sounds like the Bills have been attempting to make a trade for a wide receiver, reaching out to the New Orleans Saints about Chris Olave. However, the Saints still don’t seem like they want to trade him. Wide receiver Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans is still expected to retain its top wideout,” she wrote. With some below-average quarterback play throughout much of his time with the Saints, Olave has continued to impress. Even during the 2025 season, he’s posted 503 yards on 52 receptions, including three touchdowns. More news: Spencer Rattler Responds to Being Benched in Sunday’s Loss His first and second years in the league were very impressive, posting more than 1,040 yards in each season. If he had Allen throwing him the football, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him be a 1300-plus-yard receiver, and more importantly, help Buffalo reach its goal of winning a Super Bowl. For the Saints, though, keeping him makes sense. He’s young and talented. For more on the Saints and NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
