Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong's dialogue at the Chatham House on 27 October 2025. The session was moderated by Dr Samir Puri, Director, Global Governance and Security Centre, Chatham House. SM Lee was on a working visit to the United Kingdom from 25 to 28 October 2025. "If you are carrying a US dollar asset and therefore, somewhere or other, you are linked to a US financial institution, or a financial institution which operates in the US, you know that there is, de facto, considerable extra territorial influence − if I may put it delicately − by the United States, if they wish to, on the fate of your investment," Lee Loong said.
