Rock Legend, 77, Teams Up With Criss Angel for Vegas Show

At 77, Alice Cooper is still reminding the world why he’s regarded as the godfather of shock rock. The music legend is teaming up with illusionist Criss Angel for a limited-run Las Vegas event blending concert, magic, and horror theater in a way neither star has attempted before. The show, titled ‘Welcome to Our Nightmare,” promises a blend of Cooper’s legendary horror-infused performances with Angel’s mind-bending illusions, creating what organizers call a “theatrical visual feast” designed to “destroy your MIND!” Set for just two nights — Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 7 p.m. — the 90-minute show will take over the Criss Angel Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, as reported by Blabbermouth. This marks the first-ever public collaboration between the two entertainers, who have long admired each other’s boundary-pushing styles. Cooper, often hailed as the godfather of shock rock, pioneered a genre that fuses hard rock with theatrics and horror elements like guillotines, electric chairs, macabre props, and live boa constrictors. Stage moments have thrilled (and terrified) audiences for over five decades. Angel, the modern magic superstar behind the long-running “Chriss Angel MINDFREAK” residency and one of the most successful magic television franchises in history, has frequently been called the “Alice Cooper of magic” for his dark, dramatic approach to illusion and high-impact stage effects. Alice Cooper and Criss Angel Join Forces in Vegas The show’s title is a nod to Cooper’s iconic 1975 album “Welcome to My Nightmare,” but this version includes Angel’s magical twist, positioning the duo as “father and son” guiding the audience through a surreal world of music and mayhem. Fans can expect Cooper’s hits like “Poison,” “I’m Eighteen,” “School’s Out,” and “You and Me” brought to life through elaborate illusions, a live band, dancers in striking makeup and leather, and immersive stage effects designed to blur the line between rock concert and psychological magic theater. Producers describe the experience as a “Vitamix-style blend” of Angel’s MINDFREAK production and a classic Cooper concert — intense, theatrical, and unlike anything else on the Strip. Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT, with an exclusive presale beginning Tuesday, November 4, at 10 a.m. PT. Ticketmaster will handle sales, and for superfans, limited Ultimate VIP Nightmare Experiences will include backstage meet-and-greets with both stars, plus exclusive collectible merch. With “MINDFREAK’S” extraordinary success, this collaboration brings a new chapter to Angel’s Vegas legacy. One that has already generated hundreds of millions for the city’s entertainment economy, according to Caesars Entertainment. Cooper, born Vincent Damon Furnier in 1948, has remained a fixture in rock since the early ’70s, influencing generations with his mix of garage rock, theatrics, and shock-factor performance. Even now, he continues touring with remarkable energy, keeping his place as a cultural force. Angel, meanwhile, has spent more than two decades redefining modern magic through television and live performance, becoming one of the most imitated illusionists of his era. Together, they’re preparing a production built to push limits in true Las Vegas fashion. For fans of rock, magic, spectacle, or simply adrenaline-fueled live entertainment, this nightmare is shaping up to be one worth stepping into.
