Regina Daniels Admits Past Drug Use in Explosive Clapback at Ned Nwoko

The marital meltdown between Nollywood star Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North), has escalated into a public war of words, with fresh accusations of drug-fueled harassment, financial overreach, and non-consensual relations. In a bombshell X post on Saturday night, the 25-year-old actress's husband detailed a 4 a.m. confrontation a month ago, claiming Daniels was "clearly high" on the phone in his room. "I told Regina that the girl had to leave, and one of my drivers dropped her off. Thirty minutes later, Sammy [Daniels' brother] came to my house shouting and demanding that I come downstairs to face him," Nwoko recounted, alleging he had security physically eject West. The senator shared security footage purportedly showing West's "repeatedly aggressive" visits to the family compound, harassing children and staff when Nwoko was absent. He claimed to have bankrolled West's university education, music gear, and an Abuja flat, plus ₦125 million transferred to Daniels' mother, Rita, over two years framing it as ungrateful entitlement. Daniels fired back on Instagram Sunday morning, owning her past substance issues but flipping the script. "Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public, shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media," she wrote, accusing Nwoko of encouraging her habit for his own thrills. "You say you want me to go for rehab but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. You liked me that way because it made me wild and romantic exactly how you wanted me to be," she alleged, claiming he aimed to isolate her by targeting her circle with arrests. "No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you, my prime years, my energy, and the career opportunities I sacrificed." In a stunning twist, Daniels declared no legal marriage exists: "We were never married in any court of law… Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force." She described later stages of the relationship as "non-consensual," echoing prior domestic violence claims. Nwoko has denied abuse allegations, attributing Daniels' actions to "substance abuse" and insisting on rehab. The saga, unfolding amid family arrests and competing abuse narratives, has gripped social media, with activists like Omoyele Sowore demanding probes into Nwoko's conduct, including claims he "married" her at 17, potentially statutory under UK law where he's a registered lawyer.
