Rwanda Development Board (RDB) CEO Jean-Guy Afrika today welcomed Hanan AbdelAziz Elsaid Shahin, Ambassador of Egypt to Rwanda. The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Egypt, building on existing partnerships in trade, investment, health, education, and culture. In September 2025, RDB CEO Jean-Guy Afrika led a high-level Rwandan delegation to the first Egypt–Rwanda Business Forum in Cairo. Speaking at the forum, Jean-Guy Afrika invited Egyptian businesses to use Rwanda as a gateway to the wider East African and continental markets. The forum brought together business leaders, investors, and policymakers from both sides to explore opportunities, foster partnerships, and promote trade and investment. Key areas of interest included energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure. The inaugural Egypt–Rwanda Business Forum in Cairo was part of Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s working visit to Egypt. (End)
