Sanju Samson looks all but set to leave Rajasthan Royals (RR) before IPL 2026. Multiple reports have confirmed that he will be leaving the franchise despite the recent changes in the RR's backroom staff. Samson returned to RR in the IPL 2018 mega-auction and has been with them since then. He has been leading RR since IPL 2021. Samson, who captained RR to the IPL 2022 final, was retained for Rs 18 crore before the IPL 2025 mega-auction. The reason behind Samson wanting to leave the franchise isn't known. Cricbuzz has hinted that Samson could move to Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Though nothing is confirmed so far.
