The former Indian captains last participated in the ODI series against Australia and haven't played competitive cricket since then. They are now only active in ODIs and aren't playing in the ongoing Ranji Trophy due to the obvious reasons. The fans are eagerly waiting for Virat and Rohit's on-field comeback. Here, we have a look at the date when these two Indian legends will make their return for Team India - Virat and Rohit will make their on-field return for the ODI series against South Africa. SA are set to tour India for 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is from November 14 to December 19. The series will kick off with two Tests and end with the T20I series. The three ODIs are scheduled to be played on November 30, December 3 and 6 in Ranchi, Raipur and Vizag, respectively. Virat and Rohit will be in action at these three venues during the SA tour of India. All matches will start at 1:30 PM IST. Virat and Rohit will play three home ODIs early in 2026. India are scheduled to host New Zealand in 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is before the 2026 T20 World Cup. The three ODIs will take place on January 11, 14 and 18 in Vadodara, Rajkot and Indore, respectively. Virat bagged back-to-back ducks in the first two ODIs of the series. He returned to form in the third ODI in Sydney and remained unbeaten on 74 in the chase to the target of 237. Rohit shone with the bat and piled up 202 runs in the three-match series. He was the only batsman to score more than 150 runs in the series. The former Indian captain slammed an unbeaten 121 off 125 balls in the third ODI. He was sacked and replaced by Shubman Gill as the ODI captain before the start of the series.
